Competition Rules and Prizes

Entries are on the theme of Imagine - an entry can be a picture or photo OR  an original piece of poetry or prose - 200 words maximum. Please no photos of identifiable people - we take your privacy seriously! The entries can be puzzles, jokes, comical, serious etc.

Entries will be posted onto the competition website which will be available to the general public who will have the opportunity to “like” the entries by clicking on the heart.

There will be five winners and runners up

  • the winner of the entry with the most likes

  • the winner with the most thought provoking entry

  • the winner with the funniest entry

  • the winner of the under 12's entries

  • the winner of the over 12's entries


The five winners will receive a £20.00 Waterstones e-token and the runners up will get a copy of “Eat with us” - a collection of recipes from RSD.

The free competition is open to people of all ages. Name, address, phone number and age of each competitor is required but will not be posted or shared with Refugee Support Devon.


The entries will become copyright of RSD and may be published in a book later on.

The competition organisers reserves the right not to post an entry if the content is deemed inappropriate and the judges' decision is final. The judges are the Trustees of Refugee Support Devon.

Competition starts 8th May and winners will be announced at the end of July 2020
